The Sales Operations Manager is responsible for driving operational efficiency and performance improvement across all commercial processes at BEC LS Japan, including Sales and Marketing. Leveraging the Danaher Business System (DBS), this role leads cross-functional projects, collaborates closely with global teams, and manages the Customer Administration team.

The role also oversees key systems such as Salesforce.com, Domo, and Power BI, and is responsible for the design and administration of Sales Incentive programs. Additionally, the manager will lead the planning and execution of company-wide events and manage the product pricing revision process.

This position reports to the Japan General Manager and is part of the Bec LS Japan Sales organization located in Tokyo and will be an on-site role.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Lead and support cross-functional projects aimed at improving the efficiency of commercial operations.
  • Drive the execution and continuous improvement of Funnel Management to enhance visibility and effectiveness of sales activities.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and design solutions to address operational challenges.
  • Define KPIs for new and existing initiatives, and establish appropriate reporting methods and formats.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for operational processes, providing training, communication, and support to other departments.
  • Document processes and manage their implementation.
  • Promote DBS culture across the organization in collaboration with other leaders.

Customer Administration Team Management

  • Manage the Customer Administration team responsible for order processing and revenue recognition.
  • Ensure timely and accurate handling of customer orders and alignment with financial reporting standards.
  • Monitor and improve KPIs related to order and revenue operations.

Pricing Revision Process Management

  • Plan, manage, and execute the pricing revision process for all products.
  • Collaborate with relevant departments (Marketing, Sales, Finance, L&D) to ensure consistency and alignment in pricing updates.
  • Manage the full cycle of pricing updates including scheduling, communication, system updates, and internal/external rollout.
  • Operate and maintain the CPQ (Configure Price Quote) system to ensure efficiency and accuracy in pricing and quoting.

Sales Incentive Program Design & Administration

  • Design, implement, and manage Sales Incentive programs aligned with business goals.
  • Collaborate with Finance and HR to ensure fairness, compliance, and motivation.
  • Track performance against incentive targets and provide regular reporting.

Data Analysis & Business Intelligence

  • Manage Salesforce.com and analytics platforms such as Domo and Power BI.
  • Develop dashboards and reports to support sales forecasting, performance tracking, and strategic decision-making.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and accessibility across systems.

Global & Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with global Sales Operations teams to ensure alignment of strategy, tools, and processes.
  • Represent Japan in global Sales Operations meetings and initiatives.

Company-wide Event Planning & Management

  • Plan and manage internal events such as Monthly L3 Operations Meetings, New Year Kickoff Meetings, July Mid-Year Meetings, Quarterly Town Hall Meetings, and other corporate events.
  • Coordinate content development, stakeholder engagement, and logistics to ensure impactful execution.
  • Work closely with leadership and internal communications teams to ensure consistent messaging and employee engagement.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills in both Japanese and English.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce.com, Domo, and Power BI.
  • High energy, adaptability, and ability to manage change and conflict.
  • Strong time management and project management skills.

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements: if applicable for role

  • Ability to travel – Travel is minimal - <=10%

It would be a plus if you also possess:

  • Experience in business process improvement, including requirements gathering, analysis, design, and documentation.
  • Experience in designing and managing Sales Incentive programs.
  • Prior experience as a Sales Representative or Sales Manager is a strong plus.
