The Sales Specialist, Medical is responsible for driving revenue growth for the Medical Business in Japan. This role is expected to expand market share in the Japanese market while also developing new market opportunities. Key responsibilities include generating new business opportunities, managing the full sales cycle, and strengthening opportunity management through Salesforce (SFDC). You will focus on acquiring new deals, executing strategic sales activities, and ensuring accurate pipeline management and forecasting.

While the business already has a strong and loyal customer base among physicians, there remains significant potential for further market share growth. By leveraging your previous experience, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact and take on this role with a strong sense of ownership and professional fulfillment.

This position reports to the Sales Manager located in Tokyo and will be a remote role.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Years of experience: 5 years of sales experience in the healthcare industry
  • Japanese native
  • Strong Communication Skills

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

  • Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
  • Ability to travel – 10%-20% domestic business trips

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Experience working with a medical device manufacturer or distributor is highly preferred.
  • Experience supporting surgical procedures in the fields of surgery and/or ophthalmology is a plus.
  • English proficiency is a plus (e.g., email correspondence and participation in online training).
