Position Summary: This position seeks to grow energy business throughout the Dead River Company footprint. The Sales Manager is responsible for leading a team of Sales Professionals that include: Energy Advisors and Business Development Representatives to develop relationships, drive sales and provide exceptional service that supports our Brand Promise.
Essential Functions:
Other Tasks: Assists with special projects and other work-related duties as assigned.
Experience: The Sales Manager should have a minimum of five years of previous sales, sales/management experience. Industry experiences a plus but not a requirement.
Attributes Required:
Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Prefer a bachelor's degree in business management or a related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Contacts: This position deals frequently with the team of Residential Energy Advisors, customers, Dead River Market Managers, credit personnel, and our service departments.
Decisions Made: Daily this position must decide how and where to focus his/her time. This position makes decisions primarily relating to how to attract and retain new business. More complex decisions are made in consultation with the Director of Sales.
Safety Considerations: Since this position is frequently out of the office there are considerations relating to vehicle safety and personal safety from slip, trip, or fall.
Equipment and Tools Used: Basic office and computer related equipment including I-phone, I-pad, and sales related software programs and web-based applications.
Work Environment: A significant portion of the week is spent in the field traveling with Residential Energy Advisors and current or prospective customers in a variety of settings. Some regional travel is required to support business needs. The balance of the time is spent in an office setting. When out of the office, all weather conditions may be encountered.
