Xtrackers by DWS is a large and established provider of high-quality passive solutions across wrappers. Providing efficient 'passive' exposure to diversified indices or to single commodities, Xtrackers ETFs and ETCs provide a comprehensive set of dependable investment tools for effective portfolio allocation. Xtrackers Mandates & Solutions offer bespoke passive solutions for primarily institutional clients.
Xtrackers Mandates & Solutions Sales drive the distribution of Xtrackers Passive Mandates and bespoke wrappers in close partnership with local sales colleagues in Europe, Asia Pacific, and the US, and form the link to Xtrackers Portfolio Management, Xtrackers Product and other internal teams involved in the successful delivery of Xtrackers Mandates and Solutions to our clients.
The Xtrackers Mandates & Solutions Sales team operates internationally, is highly solutions-oriented and caters to predominantly institutional clients (public and corporate pension funds, insurance companies, central banks and sovereign wealth funds, but also family offices, wealth managers and other distribution channels).
The team engages with prospective clients early in the process to identify their needs, indicate potential solutions and illustrate our capabilities, operating in close cooperation with local client owner teams. We help design index-linked and rules-based exposures, support the selection of appropriate benchmarks to precisely reflect the client's strategy, develop alternative index concepts or customised, dedicated portfolio solutions. In doing so, the team draws on both existing indices and individual solutions jointly developed between client, the Xtrackers index strategy team, portfolio management, and, as required, external index providers. This is further enhanced by the expansive scope of the Xtrackers platform, which affords bespoke client solutions irrespective of investment wrapper.
DWS has committed significant resources to growing the Xtrackers business overall, and specifically Xtrackers Mandates & Solutions. In this very fast-growing business area, we require a high degree of client-orientation and professional know-how, and have a dedicated APAC headcount in Hong Kong. The role is part of our Frankfurt-based Mandates & Solutions Sales team, while being firmly embedded in our Hong Kong-based Xtrackers Sales APAC team.
The position to be filled involves a high degree of direct interaction with professional clients, also in the context of client meetings, presentations and roadshows, in close collaboration with Xtrackers Sales and Generalist client owners in the regions. Xtrackers Mandates & Solutions Sales is also responsible for the preparation of individual client pitches and presentations, general product presentations and content support in the preparation of RfPs (Request for Proposals), and other client requests.
The Hong Kong-based Xtrackers Mandates & Solutions Sales specialist will act as specialist contact for APAC on the subject of passive mandates and will share responsibility in planning and implementation of the Mandates & Solutions-specific sales strategy to achieve our sales targets in the region. They will have a functional reporting line to the Head of Xtrackers Mandates & Solutions Sales based in Germany as well as a local reporting line into the Head of Xtrackers Sales APAC based in Hong Kong.
A high degree of technical know-how regarding portfolio implementation, product development, benchmarks, ESG-oriented investments, alternative strategies (including smart beta) and systematic/ quantitative strategies, as well as a high degree of service orientation are essential.
