Your new role We are searching for an enthusiastic and entrepreneurial-minded Enterprise Sales Manager with a strong background in solution-based SaaS selling within the Pharma/Biotech/Medical Device industry. In this pivotal role, you will be a vital member of our Corporate Sales Team, supporting Altmetric and ReadCube. Your primary focus will be on cultivating new business opportunities and nurturing relationships with existing clients. To excel, you must be sales-driven yet customer-focused, passionate about innovative technologies, and adept at solving customer challenges through our cutting-edge solutions.

In this role, you will operate as a hunter-seller, combining industry expertise with exceptional sales acumen to uncover new opportunities, deliver innovative solutions, and exceed revenue goals. You will be instrumental in aligning our cutting-edge SaaS solutions with the evolving needs of the life sciences market. This is not just a sales role. It's a leadership role in how Digital Science connects with the market. You will be expected to think and act like an owner, with full accountability for your territory and opportunities. What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead with value. Practice value-based selling. Translate customer problems into tailored, high-impact solutions.
  • Be a thought leader. Represent DS at conferences, webinars, and in meetings with clarity and authority.
  • Sell across stakeholders. Influence and sell to a range of buyer personas: end users, librarians, legal, procurement, C-level.
  • Drive pipeline. Build and execute a disciplined prospecting cadence. Your prospecting plan will include email, phone, LinkedIn, and conference strategies.
  • Internal advocate. Be the eyes & ears for DS. Feed customer insights back to Product, Marketing, and Operations.
  • Navigate complexity. Manage and close complex sales cycles while ensuring customer expectations and internal priorities align.

What You'll Bring To The Role

  • Proven success selling client-centric solutions, ideally software to R&D-heavy enterprises.
  • Experience in the life science ecosystem (biotech, pharma, chemistry, medical devices).
  • A consistent record of hitting and exceeding six-figure annual quotas.
  • Proficiency in CRM (Salesforce preferred), pipeline management, and opportunity qualification frameworks.

  • You ask the right questions to qualify fast, disqualify faster, and close well.
  • You are sharp on the phone, precise in email, and convincing in person.

  • Clear, punchy communication. Fluency in English.
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally and activating Legal, Product, and Marketing when needed.
