Your Role: Regional Sales Manager – Companion Animal
As the Regional Sales Manager – Companion Animal, you will lead and develop a high-performing sales team while managing key accounts within a defined geographical area. You will be responsible for executing sales and marketing strategies, driving revenue growth, and delivering strong customer engagement in line with business and brand objectives.
Your Responsibilities:
- Lead, coach, and assess the performance of the regional sales team to maximize business results
- Implement affiliate, sales, and marketing strategies aligned with annual goals and brand plans
- Manage key customer accounts, providing technical, commercial, and customer-focused support
- Monitor sales performance, analyze market trends, and provide actionable insights to the business
- Ensure all sales activities, reporting, and CRM records comply with legal and ethical standards
What You Need to Succeed (Minimum Qualifications):
- Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent relevant experience (Science, Business, or Marketing preferred)
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of sales experience, including at least 1 year in sales management
- Key Skills: Strong leadership capability and customer-focused, results-driven mindset
What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience working with companion animal veterinary practices or pet specialty retailers
- Tertiary qualification in Business or Marketing
- Strong ability to analyze and interpret sales and market data
- Proven experience managing budgets and driving accountability for results
- Ability to translate scientific and clinical information into effective customer communication
Additional Information:
- Travel: Approximately 80% on the road, including ~25% travel for joint field visits and interstate travel as required
- Location: Home-based role with regular travel across the assigned region in Australia, ideally to be based either in Sydney or Queensland.
