Elavon Business Development Consultant
The Elavon Business Development Consultant develops profitable new business account relationships and increased profitability from existing accounts. Identifies business opportunities based on knowledge of clients, markets, products and services. Makes sales presentations to existing and prospective clients informing them of benefits of using the organization's products and services to meet their needs. Implements and maintains an effective referral network and call program to promote sales. Manages the on-going account relationship with existing customers. Establishes and maintains internal relationships. Establishes and maintains good public relationships with the community to enhance the organization's image and develop new business.
Market scope will cover Public Sector, Transit and Higher Ed industries in these states listed, GA, FL, NY, PA, VA, OH,KY, WV
Compensation for this role includes a base salary, performance based incentive plan and retention bonus component.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
- Typically nine or more years of relevant experience
Preferred Skills/Experience
- Experience in Public Sector is a must, Transit and Higher Ed is desired.
- Strong business development mindset with ability to generate new business.
- Strong relationship management, build and sustain a referral network to drive client pipeline growth.
- Considerable knowledge of product marketing, client service issues, and organization operations.
- Well-developed negotiation and decision-making skills.
- Strong presentation skills, ability to present in front of decision makers.
- Experience selling fintech products is highly preferred.
- Experience selling merchant payment processing products is bonus, having market awareness in merchant segments in enterprise and mid-market is preferred.
- Proven success in driving sales activities.
- This is a remote position with the expectation to travel to market for meetings estimated to be 15%.
