Eurofins Athens Analysis Laboratories, a trusted leader in independent laboratory testing across multiple sectors — including food, water, cosmetics, environmental, pharmaceutical, and dietary supplements — is seeking a Sales Director.

Job Description

As Sales Director, the successful candidate will take on the following key responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a unified commercial and sales strategy that drives market growth, customer acquisition, revenue expansion, targeting key accounts, high potential clients, and emerging business opportunities.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of sales professionals; set performance goals, coach technical selling skills, and foster a high-performance culture.
• Define annual budget targets, forecast revenue, and ensure continuous achievement of sales goals.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with strategic customers, including major food manufacturers, feed producers, retailers, and distributors.
• Drive pricing strategy, margin optimization, and commercial policy governance in collaboration with operations and finance.
• Conduct senior level presentations, negotiate long term contracts, and provide tailored testing solutions aligned with client needs.
• Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitor activities to proactively adjust market and sales strategies.
• Identify emerging opportunities within Food & Feed, as well as adjacent markets.
• Represent Eurofins in industry events, conferences, and professional associations to strengthen brand presence and thought leadership.
• Partner closely with laboratory operations, customer service, and technical teams to ensure service excellence and aligned commercial execution.
• Support Eurofins' initiatives for quality, sustainability, and digital transformation (e.g., eLIMS adoption).
• Track KPIs using CRM tools; prepare commercial performance reports for senior leadership.
• Ensure compliance with Eurofins' ethical standards, quality expectations, and industry regulations.
• Contribute to the development of national and regional key account programs within Eurofins.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Science-related field preferred. MBA is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of the Food & Feed sector; knowledge of other sectors is a plus.
• Minimum 7–10 years of progressively responsible experience in sales, ideally within laboratory testing services, Food & Feed industry, or related scientific/technical sectors.
• Demonstrated experience leading and developing sales teams (minimum 3 direct reports).
• Demonstrated ability to design and execute commercial strategies integrating sales, pricing, and marketing.
• Strong commercial acumen, with a track record of achieving revenue and margin targets.
• Expertise in key account management, strategic planning, and consultative selling.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
• Fluent in Greek and English.
