Position Summary

The Commercial Account Executive (AE) is a part of the team in Raleigh, NC. This is a hybrid role and will collaborate in-office with your team several days a week while also having flexibility to work remotely.

As a Commercial AE, you'll be responsible for driving new business and expanding relationships within commercial and mid-market accounts. This is a hunter role for someone who thrives on building relationships, running a consultative sales process, and closing deals in a fast-moving cybersecurity market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and drive revenue across your territory by identifying, qualifying, and closing new business.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through negotiation and close.
  • Partner with Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) to build pipelines and uncover opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Sales Engineers (SEs) to deliver tailored demos and proof-of-value engagements.
  • Build trusted relationships with prospects by understanding their business and security challenges.
  • Meet and exceed quarterly and annual revenue targets.
  • Maintain accurate forecasts and CRM hygiene.

Required Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of full-cycle B2B technology sales experience (cybersecurity, SaaS, or enterprise software preferred).
  • Proven track record of exceeding quota in a competitive sales environment.
  • Strong pipeline generation and prospecting skills.
  • Ability to engage technical and business stakeholders in consultative sales conversations.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities.
  • A growth mindset, competitive drive, and collaborative approach.
  • Work cooperatively with others within the organization and other cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Work well in fast-paced, high-stress environments.
  • Has predictable, reliable attendance.
  • Must be based in the Raleigh, NC area and able to work in-office several days per week.
