Job Summary
Teledyne's Process and Air Quality and Safety, a group of companies within Teledyne's Instrumentation Segment which provides gas detection and analytical solutions for industrial process control, environmental monitoring, and personnel safety is seeking a Americas Regional Sales Manager. We are looking for a customer-centric Regional Sales Manager who is passionate about technology and how it solves customer problems.
This position is responsible for profitable promotion and growth of the Air Quality subdivision of product portfolio in the assigned America Region. The successful candidate will be responsible for generating sales growth by engaging directly with end users and overseeing our existing distribution network. Detailed Description
The Regional Sales Manager plays a crucial role within our sales team, responsible for driving revenue growth, managing client accounts, and developing new business opportunities in the designated region or market segment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strategic thinking, exceptional interpersonal skills, a strong track record in sales, and an ability to build and sustain client relationships while proactively identifying and pursuing new market prospects.

Sales Management:
- Consistently achieve or surpass sales targets and revenue objectives for the assigned territory.
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies and plans that support organizational growth.
- Conduct thorough market research to identify trends and emerging opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records of customers, contacts, and opportunities within the CRM system to support robust pipeline management and development.
- Deliver technical and sales training, presentations, and product demonstrations to sales channels and end-users.
Account Management:
- Establish and nurture strong, long-lasting client relationships.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for key accounts, ensuring their needs are addressed and high levels of satisfaction maintained.
- Identify new business opportunities and upselling potential within established accounts to increase share-of-wallet.
- Target key end-user accounts and develop tailored sales plans to promote the product portfolio and expand direct markets.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements to maximize profitability while upholding client satisfaction.
- Accurately forecast product demand to support Sales Operations' monthly and quarterly cycles.
- Acquire comprehensive knowledge of the Process and Air Quality product portfolio through required training and utilize this expertise to advance sales initiatives.
- Meet with customers, distributors, and prospects regularly to understand and respond to their evolving business requirements.
New Customer Acquisition:
- Utilize advanced prospecting techniques to uncover and pursue new business and market opportunities.
- Prepare and deliver impactful sales presentations and proposals.
- Collaborate with marketing to design and execute campaigns that generate leads and foster business growth.
Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare and present regular territory reviews, including forecasts and opportunity progress, to senior management.
- Partner with Sales Operations to analyze performance data and regional trends, using insights to adjust strategies as necessary.
Collaboration:
- Work collaboratively with departments such as marketing, product development, and customer support to ensure integrated approaches to sales and client management.
- Represent the organization at industry events, conferences, and networking functions to expand professional connections.
- Conduct sales presentations, customer training sessions, and seminars.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in chemistry, physical science, engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. An advanced technical or business degree is advantageous.
- Minimum of 5 years' proven success in sales, account management, and business development within the industry.
- Experience working with manufacturers' representatives and OEM accounts in air quality monitoring, CEMS markets, or gas measurement/instrumentation industries a must.
- Solid understanding of core sales and marketing principles and practices.
- Outstanding communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
- Self-motivated, results-driven, and capable of independent work with minimal supervision.
- Strong interpersonal and customer communication skills, with a focus on responsiveness and fulfilling commitments.
- Demonstrates a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to learn.
- Effective team player who can also operate independently.
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Salesforce, and Microsoft CRM tools.
- Excellent verbal and written English language skills required.
- Willingness to travel within the region at least 50% of the time.
