Sales Operations Analyst

The Sales Operations Analyst is responsible for reporting, analytics and dashboards related to our Sales & Marketing team's Salesforce system, data (Salesforce, external data sources), and both system & end user processes. The Sales Operations Analyst will play an integral role supporting multiple teams within the organization, acting as a liaison between sales users/managers, leadership and the sales COE. Under the general supervision of the Manager of Sales Administration and Analytics this individual will take lead or provide support on:

  • Reporting and dashboards requests
  • Maintaining and reporting sales KPI's
  • Assisting the field sales incentive compensation process
  • Assisting with salesforce user and/or manager requests
  • Requirements gathering & documentation
  • Acting a liaison between our system functionality and training specialist

Essential Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Maintains existing sales reports and designs new reports as needed.
  • Assists in the execution of the monthly compensation plan.
  • Develop automated reports to track commission trends, sales performance, and payout metrics.
  • Acts as primary liaison on sales force automation projects/trends.
  • Develops sales operations policies and procedures.
  • Identifies and executes ways to streamline reports and processes for the business.
  • Works in the field with sales representatives to identify opportunities for improvement and attends planning meetings when required.
  • Leads cross departmental projects with Sales, Marketing, BI, IT, and other departments as needed to support sales, marketing and corporate-wide initiatives.
  • Streamlines business processes by automating these workflows and recommending best practices within Salesforce and other sales tools.
  • Works with sales leadership to establish and evolve sales territories through data-driven analysis.
  • Provides analysis and actionable metrics on ongoing basis to sales teams and management, with an ability to compile, assess and communicate results of data in both a detail and graphical format, including the ability to present results as required.
  • Generates ad-hoc reports and dashboards analyzing key performance indicators and Salesforce effectiveness and metrics.
  • Evaluates third-party solutions for appropriate sales operations functions as needed.
  • Assists in managing the sales operations help desk.
  • Other responsibilities may include: Participates in project meetings with the team members and other stakeholders. Advocates best practices and recommendations. Assists in the development and maintenance of software development lifecycle processes geared to evolving software quality objectives. Other duties as assigned and modified at manager's discretion.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with all departments, understand their needs, and align processes in Salesforce.
  • Ability to solve business challenges with technical solutions, someone who is software savvy with the ability to use visual/workflow tools to render results in to a graphical format from varying data sources, including but not limited to Salesforce, raw data from external sources and/or SOQL queries.
  • Critical thinking skills, with an ability manage project work load and prioritize tasks with little supervision. The ability work independently and proactively.
  • Nationwide travel anticipated not to exceed 2-3 times per year.

Education and Experience Criteria:

  • Associate Degree in related field required.
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Three (3) + years Salesforce experience, including advanced reporting and basic administration.
  • Previous experience in Healthcare vertical highly preferred.
  • Previous knowledge of Healthcare applications a plus.
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint), with Advanced proficiency in Excel and Access
