We're looking for a Strategic Sales Executive to lead the growth of our AI-powered audiobook production division — a rare chance to shape an emerging market and redefine how audiobooks are produced.
The ideal candidate is a hunter who thrives on the front lines: prospecting, consultative selling, closing deals, and winning. You'll succeed by combining solution-selling skills with genuine curiosity about the publishing ecosystem — from independent authors and hybrid publishers to global audiobook platforms.
What You'll Do:
- Champion AI audiobook adoption across self-publishing, hybrid publishing, and traditional publishing partners.
- Manage a diverse deal mix: higher-volume small/mid-size opportunities outside Amazon, alongside select big-publisher partnerships.
- Accelerate entry into international markets by engaging with global platforms like Storytel, BookBeat, Audible, Podimo, and more.
- Apply knowledge of audiobook economics — production processes, narrator costs, distribution requirements, and how AI reshapes unit economics.
- Navigate key aggregators and distributors: Findaway Voices, Author's Republic, Curios, ACX, and similar platforms.
- Evangelize FuturiBooks at webinars, conferences, and client education sessions — reframing skepticism into opportunity.
- Collaborate with marketing and product teams to shape go-to-market strategies and influence product development.
- Build trust with decision-makers across the spectrum — from independent author-owners to small publisher teams to C-level executives.
Your Toolkit for Success:
- Familiarity with self-publishing, hybrid, and traditional publishing ecosystems.
- Established or growing network within self-publishing platforms such as IngramSpark, Draft2Digital, BookBaby, Lulu, Smashwords, and others.
- Deep understanding of audiobook production economics and distribution models.
- Proven ability to educate, evangelize, and consult in cautious, early-adoption markets.
- Track record of surpassing goals in complex, long-cycle B2B sales.
- Comfort navigating both six-figure strategic accounts and higher-volume smaller deals.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and organizational skills.
- Creative, self-starting mindset — with a willingness (ideally excitement) to integrate AI tools into your daily workflow.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years in B2B sales, preferably in publishing, media, or technology.
- Demonstrated success in market development or new product introduction.
- Strong grasp of audiobook industry trends, publisher economics, and the evolving self-pub/hybrid landscape.
- History of building and maintaining long-term strategic partnerships.
