Responsibilities / Tasks

  • Manage and respond to customer inquiries and/or requests.
  • Manage customer purchase orders in ERP systems and novelties.
  • Prepare offers based on customer needs.
  • Record daily activities in the CRM system.
  • Interact with internal and external customers via phone, email, or in-person meetings.
  • Proactively follow up on open offers, orders, warranties, and support with invoicing and backlog.

Your Profile / Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in an engineering discipline (electronic, mechanical, etc.)
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in after-sales or service departments.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Advanced knowledge of SAP.
  • Have industrial refrigeration knowledge about the full refrigeration cycle.
  • Experience in working with ammonia (CO2) and F-gasses.
  • Sales of: Spare part, Service contracts (SLA's), Field Service (preventive, corrective and predictive) and Retrofit projects.
  • The Service Sales engineer must be able to advise customers what service must be done to the refrigeration installation.
  • Required languages: English B2.
  • Excellent communicator, written and verbal, able to work with individuals (internal and external) across a wide range of levels, functions, brands and cultures.
  • Prioritizes customer needs, establishes effective relationships with customers as well as internal stakeholders.
  • The ability to exert influence on his / her customers by conviction, persuasion and negotiation.
  • Can implement delegated tasks effectively, whilst maintaining involvement and responsibility for outcomes.
  • The ability to gain high levels of trust from customers and to predict customer and competitor actions.
  • Familiarity with GEA service offerings and local market requirements of different customer groups.
