The Senior Sales Enablement Trainer is a high-impact, strategic role responsible for elevating the performance of Generac's omni-channel distribution network through expert training and coaching in alignment with strategic priorities. This individual brings deep experience in consultative selling, particularly in high-ticket generator, solar, or HVAC solutions, or high-ticket home improvement items—and is a skilled facilitator, mentor, coach, cross-functional collaborator, who can provide expert guidance on curriculum development.

More than a trainer, this role acts as a strategic partner to the business, aligning enablement programs with revenue goals, shaping future content and delivery strategies, and serving as a mentor to sales team members across the organization. The Senior Sales Enablement Trainer will ensure that our partner network is equipped with tools, knowledge, and confidence to increase customer engagement, improve sales effectiveness, and increase market penetration. Experience is critical to this role and this candidate needs to demonstrate presentation skills, in addition to a deep understanding of how people learn.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Facilitates high-impact training sessions with a focus on behavior change, close rate improvement, and business growth and development.
  • Delivers advanced sales enablement training that supports key strategic priorities.
  • Acts as a strategic advisor on selling, providing guidance on instructional designs.
  • Acts as subject matter expert in selling our ecosystem of products.
  • Leads the creation of high-value playbooks and tools to support consistent, scalable sales execution across a diverse partner base.
  • Partners cross-functionally with leadership, sales operations and sales teams to ensure training programs are aligned with strategic priorities.
  • Coaches and mentors sales training associates, providing soft skills training and professional growth.
  • Measures and evaluates training effectiveness, using data to make informed decisions, refine content, and optimize learner outcomes.
  • Stays informed on industry trends and new technologies to evolve enablement strategy and maintain leadership position in the market.

Minimum Job Requirements:

Education

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

Work Experience

  • 5 years' experience in sales or customer support environment - Selling experience in high-ticket generator, solar, or HVAC solutions, or high-ticket home improvement items
  • 5 years of experience in sales training or experience presenting
  • Experience navigating a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft products including Word, Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

  • Exceptional presentation and facilitation skills
  • Expert-level knowledge of the sales process
  • Ability to engage audiences via in-person and virtual formats
  • Proficiency in assessing learners' styles, needs, and outcomes
  • Is an independent self-starter with an ability to be proactive, motivated and self-directing
  • Passionate and experienced in the art of selling and helping others master the craft
  • A can-do, positive attitude and a strong desire to get things done
  • Desire to be a team player and work together to empower the sales teams to perform at their best
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to develop strong working relationships

Preferred Job Requirements:

Education

  • Bachelor's degree preferred

Certification / License

  • Training Certificate from Accredited Institution

Work Experience

  • Selling experience in high-ticket generator, solar, or HVAC solutions, or high-ticket home improvement items
  • 10+ years of experience in sales enablement, training or experience working with sales teams
  • 10+ years' experience in sales or customer support environment

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion, the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend, or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Specific conditions of this job are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Up to 50% travel required.
