GIC Sales & Commercial Capabilities team partners with our global General Mills sales teams in providing them with analytical horsepower and enable business continuity so they can focus on core activities – Selling, driving distribution gains and optimizing merchandising plans to deliver sales volume targets. We enable customer, pricing & promotion strategies across the global markets through our focused capabilities of Sales Execution, Trade & Strategic Revenue Management and Category Management. Teams within function are aligned to the above focused capabilities for each of our markets and each team member specializes in domains of Advanced Analytics, Visual Insights & Planogramming.

The Role will be responsible for partnering with the Category Management team for the Pet segment across channels in the US market. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical ability and experience in generating insights, leveraging data to influence decision-making. Proficiency in customer databases, advanced BI tools (GCP, Tableau, Advanced Excel), and PowerPoint is required.
The team member will independently build a seamless rapport with overseas points of contact, address and initiate business requests, and develop solutions through sophisticated reporting, tool building, and compelling presentations/visuals. Deliverables will include actionable analyses that demonstrate strong business acumen and a comprehensive understanding of the Pet business segment.
The role includes capabilities development, enabling assortment optimization strategies, competitive intelligence, recommending distribution & shelving scenarios via various data modelling & analytical techniques, either independently or through collaboration of cross-team peers.

• Education – Full-time graduation from an accredited university
• Minimum Degree Requirements: Bachelors
• Minimum years of related experience required: 3-6 years of relevant Business Reporting, Analytics & Visualization experience in CPG (or related) industry, Data Modelling preferred history of collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Experience with market data analysis tools is required (experience working with ACNielsen and IRI data preferred.)
• MS Excel & Tableau proficiency - preparing dynamic dashboards and working through large volumes of data effectively
• Experience in analysis data and applying analytical techniques (preferred)
• Agility to learn new databases, tools, and platforms on the fly and implement in real time
• Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail, ability to complete given tasks with accuracy.
• Self-motivated and detail-oriented with the ability to perform well in a fast-paced & changing environment.
• Organization and Prioritization - in line with the team's goals
• Preferred Degree Requirements: Masters
• Preferred Major Area of Study: Business Management, Statistics, Marketing or Retail
• Preferred years of related experience: 5 - 6 years of relevant Business Reporting and/or Analytics experience
• Experience with market data analysis tools is required (experience working with ACNielsen and IRI data preferred.)
