Sales Consultant – Quality Management Software
This role offers the chance to be part of a small, growing US team that helps manufacturers improve their quality processes with proven software solutions. As a Sales Consultant, you'll represent the company to prospective customers - someone who listens, understands production and quality challenges, and enjoys showing how the right software can make their work easier and more efficient.
You'll collaborate closely with the company's technical trainers to guide customers from first contact and demonstration through to successful onboarding. The position focuses on building trust, providing practical solutions, and developing long-term customer relationships that strengthen the company's presence in the US manufacturing market.
It's a great opportunity for someone with a background in manufacturing, quality, or process improvement who enjoys working with people, learning and teaching new tools, and being part of a supportive international team.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in target manufacturing sectors.
- Lead the entire sales cycle: prospecting, product demonstrations (remote and on-site), proposal creation, and contract negotiation.
- Conduct consultative discussions with quality, operations, and IT stakeholders to understand process challenges and tailor solutions accordingly.
- Collaborate closely with the company's Software Trainers and European HQ to ensure seamless onboarding and excellent customer experience.
- Represent the company at trade fairs, customer or sales events, and industry conferences.
- Maintain accurate opportunity tracking and forecasts within Excel and CRM tools.
- Serve as a trusted partner to customers - focusing on long-term satisfaction rather than short-term transactions.
You'll thrive in this role if you have:
- Experience in B2B sales, account management, or other customer-facing roles, ideally within a manufacturing, quality, or technical environment.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business, engineering, manufacturing, or a related field.
- Curiosity for digital tools and modern software solutions, with the confidence to learn and explain their value to customers (no programming background required).
- A consultative, service-oriented mindset – you're interested in understanding processes and helping customers find practical solutions.
- An existing network within the manufacturing industry is a strong plus.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; comfortable engaging with engineers, managers, and decision-makers alike.
- A hands-on, pragmatic attitude and genuine enjoyment of working independently in a small, growing international team.
- Willingness to travel domestically approx. 50%; a valid driver's license is required.
What The Company Offers:
- 20 PTO days per year, increasing to 25 days after 3 years
- 9 paid company holidays
- Up to $1,000/month employer contribution toward your health insurance ("Defined Contribution Health Plan")
- 401(k) with 6% employer contribution
- A high-quality product ecosystem with a team that values initiative, feedback, and input from all employees
- The opportunity to be part of a respected European software company making its mark in the US
