Business Development Representative
As a key member of GFL's Business Development team, you will be committed to enhancing GFL client relationships and providing invaluable support to the Sales team. You will be relied upon to source new business leads and cross-sell opportunities with prospective and existing clients and will instill confidence in our customers that they are dealing with the industry leader. The chosen individual will thrive in this challenging, competitive, ever-changing business environment.
This position is based in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, with a regular work schedule of Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with flexibility for earlier start and end times. The role will be based out of the GFL Liquids Saskatoon office, with an expectation of a minimum of three days per week in the office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively analyze existing low-to mid-tier client accounts to identify cross-sell opportunities and areas for expansion, including additional service offerings or business lines.
- Allocate new business opportunities and customer inquiries to Account Managers based on customer needs, service requirements, and workload.
- Provide administrative support to Account Managers, including preparing reports, retrieving customer history, and assisting with pricing history or documentation.
- Maintain accurate records of sales agreements, quotes, and related documents in the OMS system, ensuring the sales team has access to the most current information.
- Support the Inside Sales Manager and local Sales Manager with special assignments or strategic initiatives.
- Lead and participate in sales-related projects such as large rollbacks, pricing updates, and corporate-level updates.
- Support sales and marketing initiatives by creating and distributing materials, including customer presentations and internal data reports.
- Manage and maintain customer feedback and survey logs and conduct post-service customer check-in calls to ensure satisfaction and identify improvement opportunities.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in customer service field.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace applications
- Previous Marketing, social media, or creative program/s knowledge ideal.
- Post-secondary education in business or a related field is welcomed.
- Previous industry experience is welcomed.
