Sales Representative

As a Sales Representative, your primary focus will be hunting for new business and expanding the current customer base. You will have the unique opportunity to manage the full lifecycle of your accounts, ensuring their ever-growing transportation needs are met with precision. You must reside within a commutable distance of Cambridge, MD, but may work remotely from home on most occasions.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead generation: Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and proactive outbound cold calls and emails.
  • Solution selling: Deeply understand customer requirements to provide "top-notch" transportation and supply chain solutions.
  • Account growth: Develop existing accounts to their highest potential through consistent relationship building and referral mining.
  • Operational partnership: Work closely with operations leaders to ensure seamless execution and outstanding service delivery.
  • Market intelligence: Stay current on logistics industry trends, rate fluctuations, and regulatory changes.

Requirements include:

  • Service-oriented: A genuine willingness to go above and beyond to solve problems for customers.
  • Sales acumen: Strong negotiation skills—you are persuasive, confident, and appropriately aggressive in closing deals.

  • Tech savvy: Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and modern office technology/TMS platforms.
  • Experience: Prior logistics, sales, operations, or customer service experience is preferred.

Education:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, or Logistics is a plus.
