Sales Project Manager – Plumbing Service
I'm partnered with a leading Wisconsin-based MEPF contractor that's expanding into the Madison market and growing their Plumbing Service division. This company has built its reputation on high-quality mechanical work in commercial and industrial settings, and they're now looking for a Sales Project Manager with strong plumbing experience to help lead service growth in this region.
This role focuses on managing and growing service work for commercial, industrial, and institutional plumbing systems — including domestic water, sanitary, storm, process, and specialty piping. You'll take ownership of both the sales and execution side of projects, ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently, and profitably.
Position Highlights:
- Oversee and grow plumbing service projects such as retrofits, replacements, repairs, and maintenance, typically up to $500K in value
- Develop estimates, bids, and proposals for commercial and industrial plumbing scopes
- Manage project execution from kickoff through closeout — including scheduling, procurement, field coordination, and client communication
- Collaborate with service technicians and field leadership to ensure quality workmanship and compliance with plumbing codes and standards
- Maintain and expand client relationships, securing recurring service agreements and identifying growth opportunities
- Support branch leadership in establishing the Madison service operation as a key regional resource for mechanical clients
What They're Looking For:
- Proven background in commercial or industrial plumbing, with hands-on understanding of systems, codes, and installation practices
- Experience in project management, estimating, or service sales within mechanical construction
- Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and scope documents accurately
- Strong communication and organizational skills for coordinating with field teams, suppliers, and clients
- Self-driven and client-focused, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Open to union or non-union backgrounds — field experience is a plus
Compensation & Benefits:
- Base salary: $100K–$125K, plus performance-based bonus
- Company vehicle, gas card, and phone
- Full medical, dental, and vision benefits
- 401(k) with company match
- Paid time off and holidays
- Ongoing professional development and technical training
- Long-term advancement potential as the branch continues to grow
If you have strong plumbing experience and want to be part of a respected mechanical contractor expanding into a new market, this is a great opportunity to step into a high-impact, relationship-driven role.
