Under the general direction of the Supervisor, Sales and Service, this position provides solutions and easily connects with onsite customers. The Sales & Service Representative's objective is to capitalize on sales opportunities, create customer loyalty, and exceed customer expectations by using their guidance, knowledge, computer acumen, and winning attitude. Sales & Service Representatives have excellent all-around communication skills as well as the ability to prioritize and manage time effectively. This role follows a 7-days-on, 7-days-off rotation with 12-hour shifts. Shifts alternate between days and nights, switching upon return from the 7-day break.
Primary duties and responsibilities include ownership of the entire customer experience, consistently performing actions with branch sales focus, promoting company products and services to customers, processing customer transactions, collaborating with customers on program/product updates, conducting day-to-day execution of the Tool Management Program, processing customer Electronic Data Interchange (EDI)/Purchase Order (PO) transactions, and taking and responding to emergency customer calls after hours.
Preferred education and experience include a high school diploma or equivalent, 1-3 years of experience in a related field, a valid driver's license and clean drivers abstract, knowledge of dangerous goods and WHMIS regulations, and proficiency in computer skills.
This role may require you to attend customers' sites and adhere to safety requirements in accordance with applicable health and safety legislation, as it relates to wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) on certain customer sites. Some customers may have alcohol and drug screening policies for on-site contractors and vendors.
