As the Director of Branch Sales, you will play a critical leadership role in driving sales performance, market growth, and customer satisfaction across the Patio Division brands. This position supports the Regional and Area Sales Managers in achieving and exceeding sales KPIs through process compliance, training, coaching, and strategic execution.
Reporting to the Vice President of Branch Operations, the Director partners with marketing, operations, and other corporate functions to ensure lead quality, optimize speed to meet, and maintain full staffing. The Director is responsible for launching sales operations in new markets, supporting cross-selling initiatives, and piloting new sales tools and technology to improve results.
Compensation Structure:
Strategic and Sales Leadership
Collaborate with the Vice President of Branch Operations to set annual sales goals, budgets, and forecasts. Drive consistent execution of the "Great Day" sales process, including price conditioning, presentation standards, and lead handling. Support sales ramp-up for new market launches, ensuring staffing, training, and early performance targets are met. Partner with marketing to monitor lead quality and distribution, adjusting to maximize conversion. Lead seasonal and promotional sales campaigns across the division.
Sales Execution and Coaching
Conduct ride-alongs and in-field coaching with managers and, when necessary, serve as a fill-in sales manager. Ensure consistent 1:1 coaching between Regional/Area Sales Managers and Design Consultants. Monitor compliance with sales activity standards, including appointment confirmation, lead follow-up, and presentation execution. Oversee cross-selling programs across product lines and brands.
Training and Development
Lead onboarding for sales staff and assist with new hire training classes to ensure consistency and quality. Support the development and delivery of ongoing sales training for design consultants and sales managers. Partner with the training team to refresh and enhance sales training content and delivery.
Performance Management
Track, analyze, and report on sales performance metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement. Partner with Regional and Area Sales Managers to create action plans for underperforming markets. Ensure sales teams are fully staffed, with minimal vacancy rates and strong bench strength.

Travel & Work Location Requirements: This is a field-based support position that requires significant travel to branches and markets across the assigned district. It is not a home-based or single-location role. The expectation is that the Director will be in the field approximately three weeks out of every four each month or up to 75% of the time, providing on-site coaching, training, and leadership support. Flexibility in travel schedule will be required to meet business needs.
Performance Expectations:
Core Branch Business (Existing Regions): Meet or exceed monthly net bookings, yield, and close rate forecasts. Maintain annual revenue growth of 15% or higher. Cancel rate < 10%. Meet or exceed net bookings monthly forecast. Customer referability rating of at least 65%. Speed to meet 7 days or less, trending to 5 days or less.
Expansion Branches: Achieve forecasted EBITDA, with EBITDA % improving year over year. Customer referability rating of at least 65%. Speed to meet 7 days or less, trending to 5 days or less. Ensure profitability within 12 months of market launch.
Required: 10+ years of leadership experience in sales management, preferably in home improvement, residential construction, or related industries. Proven track record of delivering sales growth in a multi-location environment. Strong understanding of sales process management, lead handling, and price conditioning. Experience in training, coaching, and developing sales professionals at multiple levels.
Preferred: Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field. Experience with CRM systems and sales performance analytics. Background in launching and scaling sales operations in new markets.
