Essential Duties/Responsibilities

  • Prospects for and identifies new opportunities at the assigned current customer base. Prospects for and identifies new customers and new product opportunities for company products to accomplish assigned goals and maintain experienced sales levels.
  • Creates, monitors, and revises plans to generate a sustainable pipeline of opportunities.
  • Generates incremental quote requests, provides technical and commercial inputs to sales support for incremental quote generation and ensures quote follow-up to close lines in line with new business growth targets/quotas.
  • Aligned with the territory manager, purchases, engineering, and other relevant contacts within assigned accounts.
  • In collaboration with the sales operations team, prepares reports on customer contacts, sales opportunities, and accumulative results within the company CRM tool (Salesforce.com) to keep management up to date on any pertinent information and activities within assigned accounts.

Required Minimum Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's Degree, preferably in a technical discipline, or equivalent experience.

Skills and Experience:

  • Requires persuasive communication or interpersonal skills and considerable experience.
  • Requires an understanding and ability to sell technical/solution products.
  • Ability to work independently in a collaborative team environment.
  • Professional and able to make decisions that have a moderate impact.
  • Minimum business travel outside of the office.
