Role Overview:
As the
Sales Lead – Oncology
at
GSK India
, you will play a pivotal role in advancing oncology care by driving strategic initiatives, fostering key stakeholder relationships, and ensuring the success of GSK's oncology portfolio in India. This position is integral to developing and executing business strategies that enhance patient outcomes, drive brand performance, and influence the healthcare ecosystem positively. You will work cross-functionally with various teams, including sales, medical affairs, market access, and patient advocacy groups, to ensure GSK's oncology products are effectively positioned in the market and aligned with patient and healthcare provider needs.
Key Responsibilities:
1.
Strategic Planning and Execution:

Lead the development and execution of strategic marketing and business plans for GSK's oncology portfolio in India, ensuring alignment with global and local business goals.

Drive revenue growth and market share by identifying and capitalizing on business opportunities in the oncology market, aligning with the company's objectives.

Conduct market analysis to understand trends, competitor activities, and unmet needs in the oncology landscape, ensuring GSK remains at the forefront of innovation in the space.
2. Stakeholder Engagement and Relationship Building:

Serve as the secondary point of contact for key external stakeholders, including healthcare providers (HCPs), oncology specialists, patient advocacy groups (PAGs), and relevant policy makers.

Build and maintain strong relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), HCPs, and stakeholders to ensure GSK's products are well-positioned and recognized as leading solutions in oncology.

Collaborate with medical affairs and other functional teams to ensure that GSK's products are promoted and used appropriately, with accurate and balanced information.

Manage team of 6-8 Area Business Managers, effectively coach and mentor them to perform and contribute to the growth of the Oncology business
3. Patient pathway mapping:

Oversee the patient journey across the oncology spectrum, from diagnosis to treatment, identifying opportunities to enhance patient outcomes through improved access and care pathways.

Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to co-create patient-centric solutions, address barriers to access, and improve the overall patient experience.

Advocate for the needs of patients and ensure that GSK's oncology solutions are well-integrated into the healthcare ecosystem, improving patient access and outcomes
4. Market Access and Healthcare Ecosystem:

Work closely with the market access team to implement strategies that increase product access through innovative pricing, reimbursement strategies, and public-private partnerships.

Collaborate with government bodies, healthcare organizations, and patient groups to enhance patient access and ensure GSK oncology products are included in national formularies and reimbursement schemes.

Lead efforts to integrate GSK products into clinical guidelines, treatment protocols, and public healthcare systems in India.
5. Cross-functional Collaboration:

Lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including medical affairs, sales, and access teams, to ensure seamless execution of business strategies and tactics across the oncology portfolio.

Drive alignment between internal teams to ensure that all marketing, sales, and medical activities are consistent, effective, and impactful.

Mentor and support teams to ensure the successful delivery of business objectives, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
6. Brand Management and Communication:

Develop and execute brand strategies and campaigns to position GSK's oncology products effectively in the market, ensuring local adaptation while maintaining global brand standards.

Work closely with the marketing team to create tailored promotional and educational materials, ensuring alignment with brand objectives and the needs of HCPs and patients.

Lead the creation of messaging and positioning strategies that resonate with stakeholders and drive demand for GSK oncology products.
7. Performance Monitoring and Reporting:

Monitor and report on business performance, including sales, market share, customer engagement, and product access metrics, ensuring all activities are aligned with business targets.

Regularly assess market dynamics, adjust strategies as needed, and report progress to senior leadership.

Use data-driven insights to identify new opportunities and challenges, ensuring continuous optimization of marketing and business strategies.
Key Skills & Qualifications:

Oncology Expertise: Strong knowledge of the oncology market, including trends, treatment landscapes, and key players. Understanding of the patient journey in oncology and how to drive better outcomes for patients.

Stakeholder Engagement: Proven track record in managing and engaging with a variety of stakeholders, including HCPs, KOLs, patient advocacy groups, and government agencies.

Cross-Functional Leadership: Experience leading cross-functional teams and driving initiatives across sales, medical affairs, market access, and other departments.

Strategic Thinking: Strong ability to develop and execute business strategies that drive revenue growth, market penetration, and customer engagement.

Market Access: Knowledge of market access strategies, pricing, and reimbursement processes in India, and ability to navigate complex healthcare systems.

Data-Driven Decision Making: Proficiency in using data and analytics to inform decision-making and optimize business performance.

Communication Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence and build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
Education:

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Business, or Healthcare).

Master's degree (MBA, MSc, or similar) is preferred.
