Corporate Reporting Software Sales Hunter

In this key role, you will take responsibility for new customer acquisition, the development of existing accounts, and the expansion of strategic partnerships.

You are a hunter and market shaper in one and contribute significantly to further expanding the use of a leading corporate reporting software platform in the DACH market and, eventually, in the European space.

The software platform is used, among other things, for the creation of financial reports for investors and analysts (e.g., of publicly listed companies) or ESG reports of reporting companies (and more).

You will work closely with the team in Frankfurt/Main as well as with colleagues from marketing, product management, consulting, and the partner network. At the same time, you will be close to the customers and in close exchange with them.

Tasks

1) Sales & Key Account Management (approx. 75–80%)

  • Acquisition of new customers in Germany, Switzerland, Austria, and, eventually, in other European markets.
  • Building and maintaining your own lead lists as well as active research in relevant industries and target contacts.
  • Management of the entire sales cycles: qualification, needs analysis, product demos, offer development, contracts, handover to delivery.
  • Supporting new customers at kick-offs, internal debriefings, and early project phases – you ensure a perfect start.
  • Ongoing support and expansion of your own customer portfolio, including up- and cross-selling (e.g., platform change, add-on modules, services).
  • Collaboration with certified partners & certified agencies to understand market trends and customer needs firsthand.
  • Reporting, forecasting, and maintenance of all customer data.

2) Business Development & Market Shaping (approx. 20–25%)

  • Conducting market and competition analyses (SaaS, reporting, corporate publishing).
  • Development of new market strategies, segment focuses, and growth initiatives – particularly for Germany and the Nordics.
  • Identification of new business opportunities: standalone solutions, module potentials, product ideas from market feedback.
  • Building strategic partnerships (e.g., resellers, agency alliances).
  • Participation in internal trainings, webinars, and knowledge transfer sessions.
  • Close collaboration with the product management – you bring customer feedback directly into the roadmap.
  • Contribution to events, trade fairs, webinars, and joint marketing campaigns.

Qualification

Sales DNA & SaaS Mindset

  • Several years of experience in B2B SaaS, cloud, or software sales – ideally with hunter-like qualities.
  • Alternatively: sales background in corporate publishing / digital publishing / corporate reporting environments.

Competence & Personality

  • Presentation-strong, enthusiastic, communication-strong – you can β€œreach” people.
  • Technical basic understanding (Dev / IT) and a genuine interest in complex software solutions.
  • High motivation for the completion of flagship projects and working with large companies.
  • Strong curiosity for market developments in corporate reporting / ESG / finance.
  • Resilient, solution-oriented – you can handle resistance and stay on track.
  • High availability, self-reliance, and organizational skills.
  • In addition to very good German, also very good English skills.
  • Sophisticated handling of IT tools.
  • Travel readiness: 5–8 customer appointments per month in the DACH region.

Nice-to-have

  • Experience with publishing or reporting solutions.
  • Existing network in IR, finance, ESG, or corporate communications.
  • An education in BWL, business informatics, finance, marketing, IT, etc.
