Rep Pelon US Sales

The Pelón US Sales Representative is responsible for the development and growth of the Pelón and Crayón brands in the United States market, covering all relevant channels for their distribution. The role executes the commercial strategy of the Pelón Pelo Rico franchise in the U.S., develops relationships with retailers, distributors, and wholesalers, drives the execution of the promotional plan, and expands distribution in channels such as confectionery distributors, grocery wholesalers, C&C, self-service, C&D, among others.

Additionally, the role is responsible for managing distributors, developing regional accounts, forecasting, meeting sales goals, and tracking KPIs. It requires a multicultural, bilingual approach and high mobility between Mexico and the United States.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

1. Commercial Development and Results Delivery – 50%

  • Meet the sales and financial objectives of the assigned territory.
  • Identify opportunities to generate new commercial alliances and partnerships.
  • Perform annual planning with distributors and key clients.
  • Create a reporting strategy that provides visibility of business performance.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers to anticipate and resolve issues.

2. Commercial Execution – 30%

  • Execute seasonal, annual (AYR), and innovation initiatives with all clients in the territory.
  • Lead the sales and merchandising team of distributors to meet objectives.
  • Implement training programs for the sales team of the master distributor.

3. Account Management – 20%

  • Develop annual Joint Business Plans (JBPs) with Master Distributors.
  • Manage administrative activities such as file maintenance, review of proposals, and preparation of weekly reports of expenses and contact with clients.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

Education

  • Completed Bachelor’s degree (required).
  • Basic English required (preferably advanced due to the target market).

Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in sales or commercial roles.
  • Profile oriented to insights and strategic thinking.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset to identify and capitalize on future opportunities.
  • Strong communication skills in Spanish and English.
  • Technical mastery in sales and data analysis.
  • Solid negotiation skills at all levels.
  • Availability to travel 50% of the time to the U.S. and Mexico.
  • Preferred residency: Tijuana or Monterrey.
