Sales Representative - European Customers

Bakon designs, engineers, and manufactures bakery machines and production lines for the food industry. The company is now part of the Food, Health, and Nutrition (FHN) division of Coperion, in the Hillenbrand group.

For our site in Goes, Netherlands, we are searching for a Sales Representative - European Customers. The objective is to identify, develop, and negotiate sales of our manual and industrial machines (primarily in the bakery sector) within your designated region, mainly across Europe. Additionally, to motivate and engage agents, dealers, and resellers within your territory.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and grow relationships with your final customers and agents through contacts and regular visits. Organize and coordinate trade activities in the respective countries.
  • Conduct demonstrations at Bakon or at customer locations. Organize company visits from the respective countries.
  • Understand the industrial customers needs relative to the Bakery market: our solutions are unique, the expectations and needs of our customers are to be uncovered.
  • Follow-up on quotations (in terms of technical choices and prices). Take care of the weekly acquisition planning.
  • Negotiate and secure orders and contracts that are profitable, commercially secure, and technically sound.
  • Monitor sales policy/strategy. Make proposals to guide the company's commercial and trade activities in the respective countries and contribute to the development of policy principles.
  • Provide market information and competitor activity to support the development of our position in the Bakery industry, and help the business growing. Prepare marketing plans and sales forecasts in consultation with resellers, dealers, etc., and sets sales targets per period, e.g., budget and forecasts.

Profile:

  • A completed bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent level through relevant work experience.
  • Ability to sell bespoke and high-value products.
  • Experience in the Food & Beverage Industry is a plus.
  • Experience or potential to manage a network of sales agents.
  • Willing to travel around Europe.
  • English and Dutch languages are essential; German is a plus.
  • Accurate, independent, flexible, and communicative.
