The primary responsibility of this position is to lead the Business Travel Sales team across your hotel complex and deploy creative, dynamic, and impactful commercial strategies aligned with achieving the hotel(s)' annual revenue goals.
As the Director of Business Travel Sales for Hiltons of Chicago, you will oversee the commercial strategy for the Business Travel Sales team, with a focus on strengthening performance by tightly aligning strategic direction with business processes. These processes should be intentionally designed to influence key revenue streams—including Rooms, Catering & Events, and the overall Guest Experience. Core deliverables include optimizing team deployment, defining team composition, and establishing a cadence of predictive and prescriptive activities that consistently drive performance.
Key Responsibilities
· Manage owner relations and participate in owner presentations for the Business Travel Complex hotels, as appropriate.
· Collaborate closely with property Directors of Sales (DOS/M) and Directors of Revenue Management (DORM) to develop proactive commercial strategies.
· Manage the expense and travel budget for the Business Travel Complex.
· Coach, develop, educate, train, and support members of the Business Travel Sales Team as well as individual hotel operations teams.
· Represent the hotels by managing and expanding share with Local and Corporate Negotiated Accounts.
· Focus on new negotiated business development through research, cold calling, and networking, excluding key national accounts.
· Develop and manage partnerships with Hilton Worldwide Sales BTS, GTP, and Strategic Account Teams to drive proactive strategies, increase visibility with key customers, and grow market share.
· Oversee airline relationships, including RFP management, crew site visits, contracting, and addendums (Chicago Managed Market only).
· Manage FIT relationships, including site visits, contracting, and addendums (Chicago Managed Market only).
· Manage Government Transient relationships, including site visits, contracting, and addendums (Chicago Managed Market only).
· Lead Consortia strategy development and relationship management to drive market share growth, including shifting Consortia and SMB accounts into CNR/LNR where appropriate.
· Actively participate in industry organizations and local community initiatives to develop business; pursue leadership roles when possible.
· Leverage Business Travel relationships to generate group and catering lead opportunities.
· Participate in the H.O.S.T. Program.
· Develop and deliver compelling onsite and field presentations to prospective clients.
· Attend trade shows and participate in sales blitzes.
· Consistently meet or exceed established sales goals.
· Support Sales & Marketing departments with special projects and responsibilities as assigned.

The salary for this role is $140,000 -$170,000 and is based on applicable and specialized experience and location.
