Position Purpose
To support the Commercial Manager and execute all necessary pro-active and re-active sales, e-commerce, marketing & PR activities to exceed owner expectations concerning revenue generation and market share.
Duties & Key Responsibilities

Be actively engaged in the onboarding of new Sales & Reservations team members and share expert sales knowledge, tips, and tricks
Communicate pro-actively, clearly and constructively with other team members outside sales to help deliver great guest experiences at our hotel
When starting your workday, check in with the Guest Operations Manager, ask where help is needed most and spend at least 30 minutes per day assisting colleagues in Guest Operations e.g. F&B service, stewarding, housekeeping, front office
Provide constructive suggestions/feedback on products, processes and procedures to contribute to our continuous improvement efforts
Be aware of planned team meetings and learning sessions and attend as required
Volunteer to participate in company campaigns like Travel with Purpose or Team Member committees
Execute any other duties as assigned by the Commercial Manager and Chief Host
Sales Activities
Support the Commercial Manager in analysing competitor activities and pricing strategies, trends of business by market segment, channel and GOB, and performance of existing customers
Support the Commercial Manager in the development of the commercial strategy for the hotel and the accurate forecasting
Plan and execute detailed action plans to support the revenue generation in your assigned segments and beat the competition
Show and use the passion for the brand in all sales conversations and negotiations
Actively manage allocated accounts (all segments, including GCE) to
Explore and invest time on developing innovative approaches to generate revenue (also in F&B) and extend customer basis to stay ahead and gaining
Help ensuring that all rates are loaded correctly in systems / channels
Execute the hotel's marketing plan
Help ensure that the hotel is well positioned and marketed on internet and other distribution channels, liaising closely with eCommerce in the absence of the Commercial Manager or Chief Host
Take time to be a great host and engage with guests in our hotel daily: Greet friendly and with a smile on your face, do a bit of small talk, ask for their feedback and enquire what you and your colleagues can do to make their guest experience an even better one!
