Hire Up Staffing is currently seeking a Sales Support Specialist on behalf of our client, a well-established manufacturing company located in Fresno, CA. This position plays a critical role in supporting the sales team by preparing accurate quotes, managing work orders, and providing top-tier customer service to both internal teams and external clients.
Job Summary
The Sales Support Specialist is responsible for preparing and sending customer quotes/estimates, following up on pending items, coordinating communication between outside sales representatives and shop advisors, managing work orders, and assisting walk-in clients. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and capable of handling a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and accuracy.
Essential Functions
- Accurately type quotes and work orders (minimum 45 WPM)
- Proofread documents for spelling, pricing, layout, and other errors
- Send quotes via email or fax to customers and dealerships
- Track, organize, and maintain records of all work orders and quotes
- Communicate with customers and retrieve missing order details
- Create and manage tracking spreadsheets as needed
- Greet and assist walk-in customers with professionalism
- Collaborate effectively with sales and production teams
- Continuously build knowledge of the company's evolving products
Required Competencies
- Strong computer literacy, including Microsoft Outlook and Excel
- Personal effectiveness and attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines
- High level of accuracy in data entry (10-key by touch required)
- Strong collaboration and team communication skills
- Adaptability in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
Work Environment
- Office-based role with regular use of standard office equipment (computers, phones, copiers, fax machines)
- Some physical filing may be required; ability to lift files and move between filing systems
Required Education and Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an administrative, sales support, or customer service role
- Proven ability to type at least 45 words per minute
- Experience with data entry and 10-key by touch
- Proficient in basic computer applications and office systems
