Digital Purchase Analyst

The Digital Purchase Value Stream, within the Customer Experience Division contains multiple projects/products with the the largest, Digital Sales. Digital Sales' mission is to facilitate Honda's Digital Experience by enabling an omnichannel business model resulting in an ideal customer experience by creating a purchase process that is efficient, transparent, and satisfying while pursuing Honda's Product Values.

The role of this analyst is to assist the Value Stream leaders in understanding key areas in each product/project and how they fit into the Value Stream's mission. The largest area will be Digital Sales where increasing efficiency is a critical component. The ability to use the new process to achieve labor, inventory and sales efficiencies was highlighted at BRM as a key component of AHM's future strategy. Knowledgeable analysis will be an important aspect of achieving this vision.

The smooth coordination of the all the projects/products is an important aspect of the Value Stream. Integrated Financing will involve working with AHFC and related business units at AHM to realize the vision of a complete digital transaction. With Dealer Ordering and Vehicle Tracking and Delivery, there will be real time access to vehicle location and arrival timing. In addition, relevant customer communication is necessary to meet the ADR vision of maximizing value in the time between order and delivery. Flexible Leasing and Trade will help increase loyalty while providing a new component in customer choice. The integration of pricing engine functionality into Digital Sales will be an essential component to realizing our BRM plan making BEV sales viable and ICE sales more profitable through incentive and pricing savings. Finally, Product and Service Recommendation will need assistance establishing a vision and plan to achieve the potential of AI/ML in these spaces.

Digital Sales launched with Acura in April 2024. First year sales exceeded $100 million with ultimate annual sales growing to over $50 billion. The enterprise efficiencies in sales are an essential aspect of this strategic initiative.

Key Accountabilities

  • Assist in analyzing digital purchase transformation efforts within the organization including design, coordination, analysis and communicating.
  • Work with each of the projects/products to help achieve the VS vision through analysis and proposals.
  • Participate in development meetings.
  • Be the voice of the Value Stream from the program team in executive presentations.
  • Work closely with VS leads to perform analysis and create proposals.
  • Work with the business units from across the enterprise to gether and analyze data resulting in proposals that achieve buysiness objectives.
  • Work with appropriate BUs, division and departments to ensure proposals are feasible and align with stakeholder requirements.
  • Give efficiency feedback in design and development process.
  • Assist in the determination of appropriate KPI to measure efficiency in the process.
  • Work with Sales, field, and dealers to monitor efficiency.
  • Be an advocate for change in the process to meet the needs of a changing business environment.
  • Evaluate and provide guidance in market analysis of online retailing and programs.
  • Inform, collaborate on Digital Sales activity.
  • Collaborate on Digital Sales role to achieve business objectives and KPIs.
  • Analyze related projects/products for effective proposals impacting Online Purchasing activities and objectives

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of work experience with 2 years working for an automobile manufacturer or related company.
  • Automotive industry experience is requirement.
  • Familiar with working in a technology focused IT environment is required.
  • Experience working with incentives and offers preferred.
  • Knowledge of Automotive tier 1 and 3 sales concepts.
  • Experience preferred working in a field organization and/or dealer network.
  • Knowledge of dealership operations and an understanding of dealer-facing change management efforts preferred.
  • Knowledge of digital sales and marketing at dealer and OEM level preferred.
  • Ability to interface with all levels of management and senior executives.
  • Ability to advocate for change.
  • Ability to identify obstacles and overcome objections.
  • Confident, self-starter and motivated.
  • Ability to succeed in a team-oriented, program development environment.
  • Excellent communication, written, verbal, analytical, and presentation skills.
  • Effective management of multiple projects, and requests.
  • Limited travel (10% of the time)
  • Developing Value Stream Strategies and Plans
  • Creating Presentations to Communicate Strategies – Must be a compelling presenter
  • Analyzing Data and correlating performance
  • Onsite 80% of the time
