Sales Support Specialist
The Sales Support Specialist is responsible for the preparation of proposals based on customers' incoming request for quotes. This person must have the ability to interpret customer's technical and commercial documents to ensure the quotations meet both company and the customer's requirements.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Develop the capability to quote all assigned products for the market Business Line served globally to customers per the go to market strategy service level requirements.
- Calculate costs, prices, and discounts using approved processes and price lists, and review/prepare CBUs for spares and retrofit opportunities, engaging with relevant teams as needed
- Review incoming requests from the filtering team and/or direct from customer, review customer requirements including technical and commercial specifications and documents.
- Coordinate with the appropriate costing/pricing authority when products or special adders are outside of the standard price lists.
- Provide solutions or offer alternatives to the customer inquiries that meet their requirements.
- Prepare and send quotations on time quotations that exceed the customer expectations.
- Provide accurate and timely information to customers, field sales personnel, and other regarding orders, inquiries and other related activities.
- Respond to customer phone calls and emails timely and professionally.
- Cultivate friendly, personal relationships with key customers, learning their needs and preferences.
Qualification & Experience:
- Solid technical knowledge of process equipment packages across gas, oil, water and related systems, if possible, including field experience.
- Experience preparing cost estimates/proposals for small retrofit / new equipment packages, O&M, Performance, in addition to spare parts.
- +5 years of experience.
- English. Spanish is desirable.
Sales Support Specialist Expected:
- The Tendering process and Gate System is applied to ensure all required steps are followed in the development of a proposal.
- Communication, engagement and alignment between the Tender Team, Sales, Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, Legal / Contract management to ensure all content is prepared, reviewed and mutually agreed.
- Having a more technical background, will help elaborating proposals & CBUs for small retrofit / new equipment packages, O&M, performance, digital, and spare parts.
- Accuracy, completeness, and timely delivery of proposals to sales team.
