This role will support a Florida client - open to remote with a preferred candidate residing in Florida and open to travel. The Clinical Account Executive is responsible for showcasing strong clinical, analytical, and business skills to define and execute clinical solutions that meet strategic initiatives. The Clinical Account Executive is the primary point of contact for designated BCBS client sale's teams, regional brokers, and large employer groups in the BCBS client region. The Clinical Account Executive will understand current industry trends and illustrate expert knowledge of clinical products and formulary management strategies to develop and execute clinical business plans.
Develop and present clinical program solutions, including formulary and utilization management recommendations, to Administrative Services Only (ASO) groups through consultative processes such as client presentations, quarterly/annual reviews, modeling/report reviews.
Effectively build and cultivate relationships with client sales teams, employers, consultant partners, and internal stakeholders to support sales and retention and to serve as a point of contact for clinical pharmacy benefit management related issues for individual client groups.
Create relationships based on trust and credibility in the BCBS client sales region resulting in feedback from clients and client groups to share with internal partners to improve existing product(s), identify new product and/or revenue opportunities.
Consult with internal stakeholders to troubleshoot and resolve issues associated with the marketing/sales, client-upsell, implementation, reporting of clinical programs and services in support of business division goals and objectives.
Participate in sales process and finalist presentations for new and existing employer groups, offering insight on available clinical programs.
Evaluate pharmacy industry trends, market events, clinical information, and group utilization to create and maintain clinical business plans addressing metrics such as clinical program adoption.
Support account team in sales and retention efforts, formulary and clinical program adoption, provision of impactful feedback from ASO groups to improve upon existing clinical products, clinical initiatives, participation in clinical meetings, continuous quality improvement execution and implementation of best practices.
Establish continuous quality improvement processes incorporating education opportunities at the group level to improve member experience, turnaround times, ROI, and other metrics impacting client satisfaction, growth, and retention rates.
Create and maintain clinical business plans to monitor all activities related to clinical strategy development, execution, and success measurements.

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science Pharmacy degree.
Current pharmacist license in good standing with State Board of Pharmacy in the State where the position is located.
3 years clinical experience in PBM/healthcare.
Must be eligible to work in the United States without the need for work visa or residency sponsorship.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Strong business acumen and industry experience in a PBM and/or health plan environment.
Knowledge of the applicable line of business (e.g., Medicare, Medicaid, Exchange, Commercial, Employer Group).
1 year of client management experience.
1 year of clinical account management experience.

Potential pay for this position ranges from $124,000.00 - $211,000.00 based on experience and skills.
