Sales Representative U3
Position Summary: The Sales Representative U3 will need to meet or exceed pre-determined service expectations while selling product and fulfilling route management objectives. This position requires a true passion for selling and specific knowledge on how to sell.
Job Responsibilities
- Plan and execute a daily schedule of sales calls on a pre-determined route (route schedule); meet with account representatives on a regular basis; work with supplier representatives to promote sales; solicit new business to increase revenue and distribution within route territory.
- Analyzes entire account base by visiting each account and identifying opportunities; completes all necessary surveys and ensures national account compliance where applicable.
- Effectively plan on a daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis, in order to meet quotas and distribution objectives to increase market share, space allocation and customer service.
- Communicate through voicemail, email, and proper follow through on issues deemed important to management, our customers, and suppliers; ensure all required documentation is completed in an accurate and timely manner.
- Be present and punctual for mandatory sales meetings and brand kick-offs.
- Comply with all company rules including but not limited to credit, collections and warehouse policy and procedure.
- Report on issues related to the competitive market and offer constructive suggestions.
- Other duties, as assigned by the jobholder's supervisor, may also be required.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in related field and/or equivalent training and work experience
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in Sales
- Basic PC skills using MS Office and other various computer programs including presentation software
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must possess a valid Driver's License
- Must have reliable transportation and proof of auto insurance
- Must be a results-oriented professional with verbal/written communication skills using diplomacy and discretion as well as customer service skills
- Ability to multi-task, work independently and/or within a team, pay attention to detail and meet deadlines
- Analytic and Reporting skills
- Utilize sound judgement and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in fast-paced, high-volume, team environment
Physical Requirements
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to, stand, sit; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to reach overhead, squat and bend
- Carrying and lifting 45-65 pounds on a repetitive basis
- Frequent driving and exiting/entering vehicle to service assigned territory
- Standing and walking for extended periods of time to perform various duties

Salary: $64,681.92 plus commissions and $3,000 annual mileage allowance. This position is eligible to participate in an incentive and bonus program. Metrics and level of participation are determined monthly or as determined by the current collective bargaining unit. This position is eligible for union benefits including health care, life insurance, paid time off, and retirement benefits.
