The Service Sales Team is committed to supporting our Service Agreements business within our commercial Smart Buildings Automation Controls and Fire & Life Safety Service team. This Sales Team supports our Building Automation Operations Team whose focus is to perform automation service and maintenance in large commercial buildings such as hospitals, universities, and industrial facilities. Our Sales Executives are ambassadors of quality Siemens technology, products and services.
As a Building Automation & Fire Service Sales Intern, you will: work alongside Sales Managers and Sales Executives; assist the sales team with lead generation, prospecting, and account outreach; support the preparation of sales presentations, proposals, and reports; help manage CRM data by tracking leads and maintaining data accuracy; shadow sales calls and meetings to learn effective sales techniques; collaborate with cross-functional teams to support customer engagement; analyze sales performance data and provide insights into driving growth; participate in team meetings and contribute creative ideas for improving sales processes; participate in sales related activities; and rotate through our core business segments, which include Building Automation, Fire/Life Safety, Security and Energy/Sustainability Systems.
Your responsibilities as a Building Automation & Fire Service Sales Intern will include: positioning Siemens as an industry leader among service providers; collaborating with operations and internal teams to deliver excellent customer outcomes; helping prospect for new customers and engage with existing customers on new offerings; visiting customer sites with both Solutions and Services Sales Teams; developing value-based proposals, estimates, specifications, and presentations; working with operations, finance, legal and other inside and outside resources to obtain the sale; attending job take-offs and turnover meetings; and actively participating in sales department meetings, workshops, and seminars to stay knowledgeable on current market, business, and product trends.
To apply for the Building Automation & Fire Solutions Sales Internship, candidates must meet the following requirements: current enrollment as an undergraduate at an accredited 4-year U.S. college or university; pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Energy/Sustainability, Built Environment, Construction Management or Business Administration, Sales/Marketing with a strong technical engineering aptitude; ability to work 40-hours per week for the 10-week program (May - July or June - August); willing and able to work at the branch office location and surrounding local area; and legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company or school sponsorship.
The hourly pay range for this position is $24 per hour for first time Interns or $28 per hour for returning Interns. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location. Additionally, interns for Siemens are eligible to contribute into our 401K program.
