The Sales Outfitter performs various selling and customer service activities, including greeting and acknowledging all customers in a prompt and friendly manner, handling merchandise with care, providing information, assistance, and direction to customers.
Essential functions include supporting a strong commitment to world-class customer service, ensuring a pleasant and productive shopping experience for all customers, demonstrating products to customers, replenishing product on shelves, remaining a product expert through ongoing training, remaining knowledgeable of advertised sales, assisting with seasonal floor merchandise moves, restocking merchandise, keeping the work area clean, neat, and well stocked with supplies, following all company policies and procedures, and providing a legendary experience for every customer by assisting in making buying decisions.
Experience/qualifications include a minimum high school education or equivalent experience. Knowledge, skills, and ability include the ability to calculate figures such as discounts, communicate in a friendly and professional manner, establish and maintain effective working relationships, and operate a computerized point of sale register system.
Travel requirements are not applicable. Physical requirements include standing and/or walking during shifts, ascending or descending ladders, stairs, ramps, etc., communicating with others to exchange information, operating machinery and/or power tools, operating motor vehicles or heavy equipment, moving objects up to 20 pounds constantly, and occasionally moving and lifting objects up to 100 pounds or more utilizing a team lift as needed, working in tight and confined spaces, and working in noisy environments.
Independent judgment is required to perform tasks and duties under general supervision, using established procedures and innovation, choosing from limited alternatives to resolve problems, and making recommendations to work procedures, policies, and practices.
