In this role, you will be working on CPHI Middle East, representing the premier pharmaceutical event in Saudi Arabia, endorsed by the Ministry of Health.
This flagship exhibition unites the entire pharma value chain—from manufacturers and suppliers to innovators and regulators—creating unparalleled opportunities to drive business growth in the Middle East and Africa's largest pharmaceutical market while contributing to Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain strong connections with key stakeholders, including government ministries, semi-government entities, and multinational corporations
- Drive new business development and open doors with high-profile prospects
- Provide leadership and guidance to a team of Sales Executives and Sales Managers
- Develop and implement sales strategies for both established events and new launches
- Manage project timelines and deliverables for event launches
- Work collaboratively with Marketing, Operations, and Content teams
- Forecast sales based on pipeline and work toward strict targets
- Represent Tahaluf at trade shows and industry events
Measures of Success
- Personal revenue targets
- Conference portfolio revenue targets
- New business revenue against target/KPIs
- Number of net, new logos and new subsidiaries of existing logos
- Forecasting accuracy
- Ability to follow process – Salesforce / Forecasting
- Pipeline conversion rate
- Achieve total revenue and profit targets monthly, quarterly and annually in line with New Business Sales Strategy
- Individual Development plan in place embracing Sales Excellence
- Work with the Tahaluf team to deliver solutions and share best practices
- New business/Customer development plan objectives v. achievements
Qualifications
Qualifications and experience:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Proven sales experience, preferably in the events or exhibitions industry
- Project management skills with experience in launching new events or products
- Fluent in both Arabic and English - Arabic proficiency essential for high-level government stakeholder engagement
- Strong organisational and time management abilities
- Excellent presentation skills and ability to create compelling sales materials
- Confidence in cold calling and business development
- Experience working with sales targets and pipeline forecasting
- Ability to motivate and lead a team
- Experience with CRM systems such as Salesforce (beneficial)
