Core Responsibilities

  • Manage all sales related activities in Southern Germany, Austria and Switzerland
  • Deliver business growth in line with strategic & operational growth plans
  • Focused interaction with strategic & partner accounts and Hi-Potentials
  • Align Pull & Push activities with key counterparts in Development, Marketing and business development to sustain long-term growth ability
  • Deliver a high touch technical consultancy experience to customers and prospect to differentiate from competition
  • Efficient project management with counterparts in development to maximize return on investments and create value added tailored solutions
  • Create, manage and deliver opportunity pipeline with direct reports in-line with business growth expectations
  • Partner with category sales leads at legacy Ingredion to enable strongest synergies possible & aligned account plans for joint accounts
  • Proficient in German both written and spoken

Key Deliverables

  • Deliver performance against sales targets to manage top & bottom-line contribution of Dairy category in DACH region (Germany, Austria and Switzerland)
  • Develop a market growth strategy for dairy category and DACH region
  • Price and contract management to ensure maximum return for KaTech using value base pricing strategies whilst securing the business sustainably
  • Initiate and deliver (own and with team) growth projects with existing and new customers to ensure profitable conclusion
  • Embed customer centricity to drive business development along the customer buying cycle incl broad stakeholder management incl. all potential seniority levels
  • Develop and guide an effective working relationship with all relevant internal stakeholders incl. Development, Procurement, MKT, Finance etc.
  • Continuous improvement focus to drive efficiencies across the value chain and support new ways of working & tools
  • Support regional sales manager and head of sales on strategic projects and key initiatives
  • Deliver key input to category strategies and helps build business cases for new opportunities in collaboration with marketing and BD
  • Counterpart category marketing agenda incl. fairs, seminars, tradeshows and innovation days
  • Re-occurring and insights driven sales reporting with Finance team

Qualification, Knowledge and Skill Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Food Science/Technology or another related technical field or alternatively long term practical experience with exposure in relevant requirements
  • Strong technical understanding of functional food ingredients, their interaction, food manufacturing processes and food recipe design
  • Strong experience and capabilities in Value Selling/Specialties, or Technical Service/Sales roles
  • Complex project pipeline management skills
  • Exceptional market & customer driven mindset
  • Proven track record of delivering technical solutions across multiple countries and channels
  • Strong negotiation skills & stakeholder management capabilities
