Regional Sales Manager

Job Summary: Are you passionate about building meaningful relationships and driving growth through innovative solutions? IPEX is seeking a dynamic and collaborative Territory Sales Manager to lead sales efforts across a defined region. In this role, you'll be responsible for promoting our specifiable and traditional piping products while contributing directly to our strategic growth objectives.

You'll work closely with distributor partners, contractors, engineers, and end-users to develop tailored sales strategies and foster long-term, trust-based relationships. Your impact will be felt across the organization as you help shape market presence, influence product adoption, and deliver exceptional customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a passionate advocate for IPEX products, promoting their value and benefits across the assigned territory.
  • Strategically plan and allocate time and resources to achieve sales objectives aligned with the company's business goals.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with departments such as Customer Service, Operations, and Marketing to ensure accurate information sharing and seamless coordination.
  • Build and maintain strong, respectful relationships with wholesalers, establishing mutually beneficial conditions of sale and regional pricing strategies.
  • Deliver engaging technical education and hands-on training to Consulting Engineers, Municipal Engineers, Contractors, and Distributors to support product understanding and adoption.
  • Conduct regular customer visits to promote products, provide technical support, and strengthen partnerships.
  • Travel within the territory by car and air as needed. Independently manage travel logistics (e.g., hotel bookings, airfare) and coordinate visits in collaboration with customers and the US Sales Manager.
  • Leverage CRM tools to manage customer interactions and maintain accurate, timely reporting.
  • Monitor territory performance, including order patterns, backlog, service levels, and product mix, to identify opportunities and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • If applicable: Provide inclusive leadership to independent sales agents, offering training, support, and strategic guidance to help them succeed. Set clear goals and regularly assess performance to ensure alignment with IPEX standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, or Chemical) or Business Administration/Marketing is preferred.
  • 2–5 years of experience in sales or sales management, ideally within the waterworks or utility industry.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and negotiation skills, with the ability to adapt messaging to diverse audiences.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

Technical Skills

  • Confident presentation skills, including the ability to create visually compelling content and engage audiences effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with CRM platforms and a willingness to learn new systems.
