Johnson & Johnson is hiring for a Director, Commercial Sales Strategy – Shockwave Medica to join our team. The position is FULLY REMOTE and can sit anywhere in the US.

The Director, Commercial Sales Strategy works with Marketing, Sales, Finance, Corporate Accounts and others to develop and deploy commercial strategy for pricing and contracting offers that result in Shockwave maintaining its market leading position and profitability. This individual is able to influence others both internally and externally.
Essential job functions include:
- Work cross-functionally to maximize market share while meeting revenue and cost financial targets.
- Build cross-functional methodology to evaluate and respond to customer requests for product and pricing in competitive situations with a success rate greater than 70%.
- Create strategy for offering combinations (between contracting levers and customer performance metrics) that satisfy revenue and cost targets. Offerings must provide flexibility for CAD/AVP/RSDs to execute deals locally without having to have every 'deal' reviewed by a committee.
- Lead C-Level executive meetings with key customers to talk about product and pricing strategies to ensure Shockwave competitiveness in the market.
- Champion the competitive blunting project from the US Commercial perspective.
- Develop strategy and approach to competitive blunting as it relates to pricing and contracting.
- Monitor and report on progress and performance of the methodology and offering combinations.
- Engage in frequent interaction with sales, finance, marketing, corporate accounts and customer service teams to assist with questions, process improvements, and complex sales flows.
- Manage workload and seek additional resources when required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements include:
- Bachelor's Degree required; masters preferred.
- 8 or more year's experience in the medical device industry with experience in sales, pricing and/or marketing.
- Strong experience in sales strategy and execution, market analytics and competitive contracting.
- Ability to use professional concepts and company policies and procedures to solve routine problems.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Working knowledge of analytic tools and customer contracting processes.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
The anticipated base pay range for this position is: US: $146,000 - $251,850 / Bay Area: $167,000 - $289,800.
