We are seeking the best talent for the position of Sales Representative that will be located in Medellin, Colombia.

Purpose: Responsible for promoting, negotiating, and closing sales of Joint Replacements in the Antioquia territory to achieve sales objectives and greater market penetration. This job is eligible for sales incentives/sales commissions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Mapping market opportunities associated with Joint Replacements. Identify opportunities with clinical areas to expand our portfolio and increase participation.
  • Manage relationships with key clients: Orthopedists, prosthetists, heads of surgery services, sterilization center, procurement, management, among others.
  • Schedule appointments and conduct previously planned sales presentations to clients.
  • Develop customer and product-centered presentation packages for sales.
  • Demonstrate the proper use of products to doctors.
  • Execute national, regional, and local promotional activities designed to promote sales in specific product lines or areas (Workshops, product demonstrations, showroom, congresses, educational activities, among others).
  • Responsible for managing and following up on product/surgery requests in the assigned territory.
  • Promote and coordinate professional education activities to improve the knowledge of health professionals.
  • Act as a direct line with clients.
  • Conduct periodic visits to client locations to gather information on orders and market conditions.
  • Perform contract and/or bidding management activities.
  • Support local marketing plans. Support LEX process for launches (Market analysis, stage gates, code creation, launch plan, etc). Local marketing plan LEX process: (Market analysis, stage gate, code creation, product launch, etc).
  • Carry out and implement market development and field marketing activities.
  • Develop and maintain sales forecasts for commercial planning on account and present them to management. Coordinate with the logistics and planning team to ensure the forecast and product availability.
  • Help achieve established sales objectives, including market share objectives in the prescribed territory.
  • Prepare sales reports and documents as needed.
  • Provide management with client feedback and market information. Identify potential impacts for the business.
  • Post-sales follow-up. Follow up with customers to resolve any issues and ensure their satisfaction.
  • Strategic planning together with other areas. (SCG, planning, Finance, Marketing, among others)
  • Awareness of market trends and competitive landscape.
  • Direct and manage the assigned territory while operating within an assigned budget.
  • Responsible and aware of the results by platform and by segment in their territory.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Ideally at least 2 years of sales experience within the medical supplies industry.
  • Desirable Experience: Experience in orthopedics/medical equipment.
  • Required Educational Level: Professional degree in related health, commercial, or similar fields.
  • Required Qualities: Results orientation, sales skills, teamwork, customer orientation, innovation, proactivity.
  • Availability to travel 25% of the time.
  • Relationship Management: Ability to establish a good relationship quickly and maintain strong long-term relationships.
  • Hunter: Ability to find new clients and get first appointments with new clients, continuously prospect and maintain a full portfolio.
  • Strategic Mindset: Ability to understand the franchise strategy in the short and long term and translate it into field actions.
  • Required Languages: English is desirable.
  • Knowledge and use of: Office 365, Salesforce or CRM platforms, PowerBI.
