Sales Executive

We are seeking a dynamic, bilingual (English & French) Sales Executive with a strong track record in B2B technical sales to spearhead our client's operations in the Benin Republic. This role offers the exciting opportunity to launch and expand our footprint in Cotonou's thriving construction sector. You will work independently in a fast-paced, target-driven environment, developing new markets, building lasting client relationships, and driving business growth for a leading provider of construction chemicals and building materials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Development & Sales: Identify, pursue, and convert prospects into long-term clients within the construction industry.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, engineers, developers, and other key stakeholders.
  • Technical Presentations: Deliver product demonstrations and presentations to communicate value propositions effectively.
  • Negotiation & Deal Closure: Lead pricing discussions, prepare proposals, and close sales in line with company targets.
  • Market Intelligence: Conduct market research and competitor analysis to guide strategy.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction and timely delivery.
  • Reporting: Prepare and submit accurate sales forecasts, performance reports, and market updates.
  • Field Engagement: Regularly visit client sites and construction projects to understand needs and identify opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4–5 years' experience in technical sales (construction materials industry preferred).
  • Strong professional network in the Cotonou, Benin Republic market.
  • Proven ability to launch and grow new markets.
  • Fluent in English and French.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Charismatic, proactive, and highly results-oriented.
  • Ability to work independently and adapt to a cross-cultural environment.
