Pre-Sales Delivery Consultant

In this role, you will bridge the gap between sales and delivery, ensuring a seamless transition for global payroll customers from initial engagement to implementation readiness. You will lead detailed discovery processes, validate project feasibility, and ensure all operational and compliance aspects are clearly defined before onboarding begins. Working in a fast-paced, international environment, you'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to align expectations and drive successful project outcomes. Your expertise will help prevent delivery risks, streamline implementation timelines, and enhance customer satisfaction. This is a high-impact role where your insights directly influence scalability and operational excellence. Accountabilities:
- Lead comprehensive payroll discovery sessions with prospective and newly signed clients to gather key operational and compliance requirements
- Analyze and document payroll scope, including country coverage, employee populations, processes, and statutory obligations
- Identify risks, dependencies, and constraints early, ensuring realistic timelines and delivery feasibility
- Prepare detailed handover documentation for onboarding and project management teams, ensuring continuity and clarity
- Support sales teams on complex deals by providing payroll expertise and validating implementation requirements
- Participate in client discussions to align expectations and build confidence in delivery capabilities
- Share insights and best practices with internal teams to improve processes, tools, and methodologies
- Contribute to enablement initiatives, including training sessions and knowledge sharing across teams
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in global payroll, payroll operations, or implementation roles
- Strong understanding of multi-country payroll processes, compliance requirements, and associated complexities
- Proven experience conducting discovery sessions and supporting onboarding or implementation projects
- Excellent documentation and organizational skills, with attention to detail
- Ability to identify risks, challenge assumptions, and propose practical solutions
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience working cross-functionally with sales, product, and delivery teams
- Familiarity with tools such as CRM platforms and project management systems
- Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus
