Regional Sales Director

This role is a high-impact sales leadership position focused on driving new business growth across voluntary and worksite benefits within a defined regional territory. You will build and manage strategic relationships with brokers, consultants, and distribution partners to expand market presence and generate long-term revenue growth. You will act as a trusted advisor to key stakeholders, delivering consultative solutions that align with customer workforce needs across industries such as healthcare, manufacturing, and public sector organizations. The role combines strategic territory planning, pipeline development, and hands-on relationship management in a competitive and evolving benefits landscape. You will collaborate closely with internal teams including underwriting, marketing, and account management to ensure seamless execution of the sales process. This position offers the opportunity to shape regional growth strategy while directly influencing business performance and partner success. It is ideal for a results-driven sales leader who thrives in relationship-building and complex B2B environments.

Accountabilities:

  • Drive new business growth and achieve annual sales, net growth, and reenrollment targets across the Mid-Atlantic region.
  • Build and maintain strong consultative relationships with brokers, agents, consultants, and other distribution partners.
  • Develop and execute strategic territory plans, including prospecting, pipeline management, and account prioritization.
  • Conduct market analysis and competitive intelligence to identify new business opportunities and strengthen positioning.
  • Collaborate with marketing and product teams to support demand generation and educate distribution channels on value propositions.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders such as underwriting, implementation, and account management to ensure successful deal execution.
  • Manage the full sales cycle including presentations, needs assessments, RFP participation, and contract closure.
  • Maintain accurate forecasting, reporting, and pipeline tracking using CRM tools such as Salesforce.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in voluntary benefits, worksite benefits, or consultative B2B sales roles.
  • Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets in a competitive, relationship-driven environment.
  • Strong consultative selling skills with the ability to identify client needs and deliver tailored solutions.
  • Experience working with brokers, distributors, or channel partners in complex sales ecosystems.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong analytical ability with experience in reporting, forecasting, and pipeline management.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems such as Salesforce.
