Technical Sales Manager – Silencers And Accessories

A unique hybrid role combining sales and engineering responsibilities to grow our power-generation emissions systems business in the data center market. This role spends approximately 60% in external sales activities and 40% on design and development of aftertreatment systems, exhaust silencers, and accessories.

Your Responsibilities:

Sales & Business Development (60%)

• Identify and qualify new customers in data centers and industrial power.
• Lead technical consultations, site visits, and solution presentations.
• Develop proposals and coordinate with internal teams.
• Support contract negotiations and post-sales relationships.
• Monitor market trends to refine sales strategies.

Engineering Design & Development (40%)

• Design aftertreatment and exhaust systems for generator sets.
• Create system architecture and CAD layouts.
• Support testing, validation, and emissions verification.
• Collaborate with suppliers to optimize cost and quality.

Requirements For The Role:

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, chemical, environmental, or related engineering field, or equivalent experience.
• 5–10 years in emission aftertreatment design and/or technical sales for industrial power equipment.
• Proven success in proposal development, P&L ownership, and closing profitable deals.
• Skilled in CAD, DFMEA, and technical documentation.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Willing to travel 25–35% across U.S. sites.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with data centers or mission-critical power systems (gensets, UPS).
• Knowledge of exhaust silencers, EPA regulations, and SCR/DOC systems.
• Familiarity with CRM tools and aftertreatment simulation software.
