Business Development Representative

Keel Mind is revolutionizing the way providers in the mental health space are educated, trained, and deliver care to patients. Through technology, we have been able to improve the provider experience, improve patient outcomes, and grow our presence in the academic landscape.

We are seeking a highly motivated Business Development Representative to join the sales team. In this role, you will be responsible for prospecting into academic institutions and the third-party facilities that support training and supervision of providers.

Responsibilities:

  • Market Analysis & Account Mapping: Identify ideal customer profiles and map target accounts within the academic sector.
  • Outbound Prospecting: Generate interest and secure qualified meetings for the sales team through various outbound efforts, including cold calling, email campaigns, and LinkedIn engagement, to create qualified opportunities for the sales funnel.
  • Value Proposition Communication: Clearly articulate the features, benefits, and value proposition of Keel Mind to prospective clients, demonstrating how the product addresses their specific needs.
  • Sales Collaboration: Work closely with the sales team to strategize and optimize outreach campaigns, refine messaging, and establish lead qualification criteria.
  • Data Management: Implement and consistently uphold best practices for CRM hygiene, ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
  • Quota Attainment: Consistently meet and exceed monthly and quarterly KPI's for booked qualified meetings and pipeline contribution.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay informed about industry trends, the competitive landscape, and product updates to effectively communicate value to prospects.
  • Office Presence: Ability to work a minimum of X days per week from the Toronto office.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • 2-3 years of business development experience, including cold outreach role.
  • Highly motivated: Proven experience with cold calling and the ability to take accountability and ownership.
  • Goal-oriented: Thrives in fast-moving environments and is motivated by exceeding goals.
  • Exceptional communication: Connecting with prospects and building rapport through strong verbal and written communication.
  • Engaging & outgoing: Naturally makes great conversation and builds strong relationships.
  • Resilient: Persistent in the face of rejection.
  • Curious & coachable: Eager to learn about the industry, product, and sales techniques, and open to feedback for performance enhancement.
  • Organized: Detail-oriented, efficiently manages multiple priorities, maintains accurate records, and consistently follows up.
  • Team player: Collaborates effectively with cross-functional teams and fosters a positive, supportive work environment.
  • Adaptable: Thrives in a fast-paced startup environment, quickly adapting to evolving priorities and strategies.
  • Bonus points for: Previous experience in a B2B SaaS environment. Familiar with the academic and/or mental health landscape.
