Key Account Executive

As a Key Account Executive for the Albertsons-Safeway business, you'll leverage your sales expertise to collaborate with key decision-makers and drive results. Working as part of the Kellanova National Customer Team, you'll develop strategic solutions based on consumer insights, support account growth, and expand your professional network.

This remote role is based in the Western U.S., with up to 25% travel, and includes eligibility for the Kellanova Auto Reimbursement program for those driving 5,000+ business miles annually.

A taste of what you'll be doing:

  • Account Development – Develop an annual customer division plan that sets objectives to support our full portfolio of brands through merchandising, promotions, pricing, new & seasonal product launches, Omnichannel programs, and community-led initiatives.
  • Customer Collaboration – Win with our customers by becoming a strategic business partner. Your superior business knowledge will be a resource to Albertsons as you work to deliver exceptional results.
  • Strategic Partnerships— Create partnerships to collaborate with the customer's key division decision makers as well as internal cross-functional partners to identify opportunities and develop ideas that deliver results.
  • Analytics – Knowing your business will be imperative in driving profitable sales growth. Performing pre- and post-promotion analysis, leveraging insights and revising future plans as necessary will be key to your success.

We're looking for someone with:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Previous account sales management and Albertsons experience preferred.
  • Ability to develop, present, and execute customer plans with a focus on customer communication and account penetration.
  • Ability to understand market dynamics, forecast results, and analyze and interpret data (i.e. Nielsen / IRI).
  • Strong understanding of trade strategy, retail operations, negotiation skills and financial acumen.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • This is a driving role which requires the use of a personal vehicle. To meet the requirements of the role, your driving record must be clear of any significant charges over the last 36 months and cannot have more than 2 moving violations over the last 36 months.

Compensation insights:

The annual salary range is $114,400-$150,150 which is based on various factors such as location, experience and skill. Discretionary bonuses based on company and individual performance are also available.
