Responsibilities

We are currently seeking a Regional Mortgage Sales Manager that develops and executes plans for the achievement of mortgage sales volume in their assigned markets through traditional retail channels. The Regional Sales Manager leads and directs the daily management of Mortgage Market Sales Managers along with their own individual team of Mortgage Loan Originators (MLOs). They are responsible for recruiting and hiring loan originators, coaching and training, along with establishing and monitoring individual and team production goals. The Sales Manager oversees pipeline management and works in tandem with Compliance, Risk Management and Secondary Marketing to provide effective oversight of all compliance and investor policy adherence.

Key Accountabilities

Executes Mortgage Sales Strategy:

  • Provide guidance and assistance with operational and loan requirements (conventional, portfolio and government loans.) Collaborate with Mortgage Operations to achieve maximum operational efficiency and excellent client service.

Client Acquisition and Experience:

  • Fosters an environment where team members passionately serve internal/external clients with excellence. Fosters a culture of accountability within business area to nurture client relationships by listening, prioritizing and acting responsibly to meet client needs, mitigate risk and add shareholder value.
  • Provides leadership and guidance regarding all customer service interactions and monitor results. Resolves customer service issues in an efficient and effective manner for internal and external clients.
  • Participates in civic and community events and maintains significant community affiliations and relationships with centers of influence to actively promote the Old National Mortgage brand.

Talent Management:

  • Attract, develop and retain high caliber talent by recognizing organizational and individual needs, creating a culture of excellence, high performance, and accountability. Coach and empower others to achieve stretch goals. Cultivates an environment of trust and optimizes talents and capabilities within business area through a culture of continuous feedback and coaching.

Creates plan to meet goals and objectives within business areas diminishing gaps and evaluating progress along the way allowing for adjustments.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience; 7-10 years of residential mortgage or related work experience; 3-5 years of sales management experience with demonstrated ability to effectively hire, train and develop staff. Experience with direct home lending models, including digital platforms. Demonstrated ability to lead a sales management team and to direct the work of mortgage loan originators, including setting and monitoring production expectations. Knowledge of industry products, policies, and procedures, underwriting requirements, conventional and government loan requirements, mortgage operations, and regulatory compliance.
