Technical Sales Professional Opportunity

Are you an experienced Technical Sales Professional in the process industry looking to grow your career? If so, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in Indianapolis, Louisville, or similar vicinity, you will be responsible for driving instrumentation sales in the central/southern Indiana and northern Kentucky area within a large installed base of accounts and providing solutions in the chemical, power, OEM, and midstream markets. In this position, you will partner with customers to make the world healthier, safer, and more sustainable.

In this role, your responsibilities will be:

  • Act as a strategic partner to both current and prospective customers
  • Use proven sales strategies and CRM tools to effectively promote and sell the company's products
  • Conduct regular territory analysis and strategic planning
  • Pursue and secure major project business
  • Develop product-based solutions to address customers' latent pain
  • Deliver sales solutions both independently and collaboratively

Who you are:

  • You relate comfortably with people across levels, functions, cultures, and geographies
  • You understand interpersonal and group dynamics and engage in an effective manner
  • You maintain a positive demeanor and forward-thinking approach
  • You negotiate strategically in tough situations

For this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 1 year of related technical sales experience
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Willingness and ability to travel within territory as required

Preferred qualifications that set you apart:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Technical, or Business
  • Three (3) or more years of related technical sales experience
