What you will do:
The task of the Area Sales Manager consists of achieving the goals of our business plan, including net sales, profit and market share, for their respective area in the pharmacy channel. The key to achieving these goals is coaching and supporting the local field force team, working closely with the local shopper marketing teams, focusing on sales effectiveness KPIs and a strong external connection to our customers.
Your main areas of responsibility will be as follows:
- Full responsibility for the implementation of the business plan for the respective area in relation to all relevant KPIs, including market share and sales. In this context, also the proactive use of data to monitor sales effectiveness KPIs.
- Independent identification of business potentials and development of a strategy on how to realize them.
- Intensive cooperation with the marketing and sales team regarding strategic and operational development of the respective area as well as ensuring that sales and customer needs are reflected in the business plans early on.
- Independent planning of the business forecast, also in cooperation with the supply chain.
- Proactive leadership and anchoring of the go-to-market agenda, including customer management principles, perfect store activation (focus on availability, visibility, recommendation & promotion), value based detailing and revenue growth management.
- Proactive extended member of the channel leadership team including the assumption of strategic projects beyond your own area.
- Leadership, coaching and further development of employees.
What we seek:
- Minimum of 10 years of sales experience in the German pharmacy channel with a proven track record in the area of over-the-counter (OTC) medicines or skincare products.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in leading teams.
- Successfully completed university degree.
- Successfully completed pharmaceutical representative training is an advantage.
- High degree of self-initiative, leadership and an agile mindset coupled with a solution- and success-oriented approach.
- Resilience, commitment and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
- Proficient use of data and technology.
- Fluent in German and English, both spoken and written.
