Labcorp is seeking a Specialty Sales Development Executive, Invitae, Rare Disease segment to cover Dallas to Austin to San Antonio, TX. Responsibilities include selling laboratory testing services to professionals within the Clinical & C Suite setting, to the Rare Disease space, which includes genetics providers, neurologists, cardiologists, pediatric subspecialists and other specialties, as well as large Regional Medical Groups, as well as Regional Reference Labs and Hospitals. The role requires meeting and exceeding sales goals and achieving maximum sales growth in assigned territory, successfully building and executing an annual business plan with quarterly updates, and effectively managing travel logistics to maximize sales productivity. The candidate must collaborate closely with team members to retain current book of business, attend local and national professional trade shows and events as requested, and effectively communicate value propositions to all targeted customers and prospects.
Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma and 5 or more years of experience in medical outside sales, with 5 or more years of experience selling directly to physicians. Preferred qualifications include a bachelor's degree in life sciences, 3 or more years of experience selling laboratory, diagnostics, or medical device solutions, and 3 or more years of experience supporting rare disease, genetics, cardiology, neurology, or pediatric subspecialty markets.
Additional job standards include proven success managing a book of business, ability to collaborate closely with sales and operations teams to grow the business, excellent written and verbal communication skills, demonstrated track record of recent success and sales accomplishments, strong consultative selling and closing skills, ability to understand and articulate complex scientific literature and use extensive and complex clinical data as a key factor in the sales process, must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record, and ability to travel 50% including occasional overnights.

This position reports to the Regional Director and will be responsible for effectively communicating and selling the benefits of the Labcorp Genetics and Rare Disease commercial products to clinicians and department personnel for their assigned geographic territory. The SDE provides direct sales and services primarily to genetics providers, neurologists, cardiologists, pediatric subspecialists, regional reference laboratories and hospitals. The candidate is expected to prospect, develop and close his or her own sales targets monthly.
